We charge a flat rate of $22 per order on most orders. We choose a carrier (Australia Post or Courier) based on size and weight of items you purchase as well as any particular shipping requirements (such as need for refrigeration). Sometimes we will send your order to a depot which means that you may need to collect from a depot location (we will endeavour to find a depot as close to you as possible).
Some products do incur and additional freight charge due to their weight and your delivery location. Where this may apply a note is made in the item details.
Some products available on our website are for in store collection only. This is for items such as, but not limited to, wire fencing, feed and supplements. We try to make this clear in the item description. We are often able to quote freight on pallet buys so please contact us for more details.
At times we will offer some of our items freight free - this will be displayed within each included item's details.
Freight charges will be displayed on the invoice and by committing to purchase you are accepting the associated freight and handling charges. If additional freight is applicable and this possibility is noted in the items description we will contact you for additional payment. If you do not want to pay the additional freight charge we will refund your payment and cancel the order.
If you choose to pay on pick-up, freight will not be charged.
Returns and Faulty Products
If a product is faulty, please follow the below procedure:
Complete the form on the ‘Contact Us’ page and advise us via email or phone.
Please do not send returns before requesting a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Notification of a faulty item on delivery must be reported within 7 days of your delivery. After this period, any faulty item will be subject to that manufacturers warranty procedures and time frame. This differs between manufacturers. (Please contact us for further details. Please note, we are bound by the decisions made by the manufacturer and/or distributor of the product. The staff at Bos Rural Supplies and Bos Vet and Rural Supplies do not make the decisions on whether a fault is covered under warranty).
Any product that is faulty on delivery will be replaced. If we cannot replace the item, we offer you the choice of a refund, store credit or a suitable substitute.
Photographic proof is generally satisfactory evidence to support a claim for a faulty product. If it is not possible to provide photographic proof of the fault, you will be required to return the product to us.
After you have received your RA number you will be responsible for shipping the product to us (unless it was faulty on delivery). However, Bos Rural Supplies (and Bos Vet and Rural Supplies) will cover the postage of the replacement for a faulty product.
We DO NOT accept returns unless we have issued an RA number
After we receive a returned item (not faulty) we will refund your payment. The cost of returning the item to us will be your responsibility. The item must be returned with its original packaging and in saleable (as new) condition.
Items discounted or on sale cannot be returned for exchange or refund because you have changed your mind. We will only accept these returns if the product was not as advertised or was faulty.
Please note that custom orders (for example NLIS tags and printed management tags) are not returnable.
